From January 1 to March 31 of each year you have one opportunity to change your Medicare Advantage or switch back to Original Medicare with or without a prescription drug plan.
You must also qualify to return your Medigap plan if you had one.
Separately, if you have Extra Help, an assistance program that helps pay for Medicare Part D prescription drug costs, you can make one change per year.
